On Wednesday 14/7/2021 the president of Greek Roma Mediators and Partners Union, Mr. Kostas Paiteris and the Union’s curator Mrs. Eleni Desiotou have visited the Community Center with Roma Annex in the municipality of Larisa, in the framework of the project ‘’REACH’’.
They have seen the establishments, talked with executives of the annex and after they informed the mediator Mr. Niko Paiteri in regard with the project’s goals which are the information and the empowerment of women in health subjects, prevention and family planning.
Nikos informed the Union about the actions that they implement but also for the problems they face. He also informed for the beginning of a local women’s association named ‘’the Kallipateira’’ as well as the good course of the local football team ‘’Panionios Larisas’’.
The meeting closed with the Union’s commitment to support every positive effort to treat the problems that Greek Gypsies, face in their everyday life and also the promotion of positive standards and cultural associations and events.
